Galvanized Steel Coil is ingeniously designed to prevent the steel plate's surface from corrosion, thereby prolonging its service life. This is achieved by coating the steel plate with a layer of metallic zinc. Known as galvanized sheet, it utilizes cold-rolled steel coils as substrates through a continuous hot-dip process. This technique ensures the zinc coating adheres firmly to the steel through an iron-zinc alloy bonding layer, formed via diffusion while the heated steel strip contacts the molten zinc. However, one limitation of galvanized steel is that if the zinc coating is scratched off, the underlying steel is exposed and becomes vulnerable to failure. Despite this, it boasts excellent corrosion resistance, paintability, and workability owing to zinc's inherent qualities.
Based on the surface zinc spangle, galvanized coil can be classified into those with spangle and those without.
