To protect the steel plate surface from corrosion and enhance its longevity, the steel plate undergoes a coating process with metallic zinc, resulting in what is known as a galvanized sheet. Utilizing cold rolled steel coil as substrates, the continuous hot-dip process ensures the zinc coating adheres firmly to the steel, thanks to an iron-zinc alloy bonding layer formed during the diffusion process while the heated steel strip is in contact with molten zinc. One limitation of galvanized steel is that if the zinc coating is scratched off, theexposed steel becomes vulnerable and prone to failure. However, its excellent corrosion resistance, paintability, and workability, attributed to zinc's unique properties, make it highly reliable.
Based on the surface zinc spangle, galvanized coils can be categorized into those with spangle and those without.

Hot Dipped Galvanized Steel Coil Production
The production and processing of galvanized steel coils involve a meticulous three-step process for optimal quality. Firstly, the entire coil undergoes a thorough pickling procedure to eliminate rust and contaminants, resulting in a brilliantly clean surface. Subsequently, it is immersed in an aqueous solution of ammonium chloride or zinc chloride, or a combination of both, for further purification. Finally, the coil is transferred to a hot-dip plating tank where the galvanizing process takes place. Once completed, the coil is ready for storage and packaging, ensuring it meets the highest standards of anti-corrosion and durability.
