Our galvanized steel coil is one of our top-selling products, celebrated for its cost-effectiveness, durability, and sleek appearance. It is not only easy to paint and manipulate but also available in a variety of finishes, including big, regular, small, and zero spangles. These coils boast lightweight properties, aesthetic appeal, and superior corrosion resistance, making them an ideal choice for a wide range of applications such as construction, shipbuilding, vehicle manufacturing, furniture production, and home appliances.

Galvanized Steel Coil is engineered to prevent corrosion on the steel plate surface, thereby extending its service life. The steel plate is coated with a layer of metallic zinc through a continuous hot-dip process using cold-rolled steel coils as substrates. This process ensures a strong adhesion of the coating to the steel by forming an iron-zinc alloy bonding layer through diffusion while the heated steel strip contacts the molten zinc. However, a notable drawback is that if the zinc coating isscratched off,the underlying steel becomes unprotected and prone to failure. Despite this, galvanized steel offers excellent corrosion resistance, paintability, and workability, attributed to the inherent qualities of zinc.
Based on surface zinc spangle, galvanized coils can be categorized into those with spangle and those without.

Hot Dipped Galvanized Steel Coil Production

The production and processing of galvanized steel coils involves a meticulous three-step process. Initially, the entire coil undergoes a pickling phase to effectively eradicate rust and dirt, resulting in a pristine and gleaming surface for the galvanized steel strip. Following pickling, the coil is immersed in an aqueous solution of ammonium chloride or zinc chloride, or a combined solution of both, ensuring thorough cleaning. Finally, the coil is sent to the hot-dip plating tank for the galvanizing process. Once the galvanizing is complete, the coils are ready for storage and packaging.
