Galvanized Steel Coil is meticulously engineered to prevent surface corrosion and extend the lifespan of steel plates. This is achieved by coating the steel with a layer of metallic zinc through a continuous hot-dip process. The process ensures the zinc coating is firmly adhered to the steel, forming an iron-zinc alloy bonding layer during the heated contact with molten zinc. However, a potential drawback is that if the zinc coating isscratched off,the underlying steel is exposed and vulnerable to damage. Despite this, galvanized steel boasts superior corrosion resistance, excellent paintability, and remarkable workability, thanks to zinc's inherent properties.
Based on the surface zinc spangle, galvanized coils are available with or without spangle, catering to diverse application needs.

Hot Dipped Galvanized Steel Coil Production

The production and processing of galvanized steel coils can be divided into three meticulous steps: first, the entire coil undergoes a rigorous pickling process to eradicate rust and impurities, ensuring a pristine and polished surface. Following the pickling stage, the coil is meticulously cleansed in an aqueous solution containing ammonium chloride or zinc chloride, or a blend of both, preparing it for the final stage. Lastly, the coil is immersed in a hot-dip plating tank for the galvanizing process. Upon completion, the newly galvanized steel coil is ready for storage and packaging, perfectly prepared for distribution.
