Galvanized Steel Coil is designed to safeguard the steel plate surface from corrosion, thus extending its lifespan. This is achieved by coating the steel plate with a layer of metallic zinc. The zinc-coated steel plate, known as galvanized sheet, is manufactured using cold-rolled steel coils as substrates via a continuous hot-dip process. This technique ensures a strong adherence of the coating to the steel through the formation of an iron-zinc alloy bonding layer created during the diffusion process while the heated steel strip contacts the molten zinc. However, a drawback is that if the zinc coating isscratched off,the steel underneath becomes exposed and unprotected, leading to potential failure. Despite this, galvanized steel excels in corrosion resistance, paintability, and workability due to the characteristics of zinc.
Based on the surface zinc spangle, galvanized coil can be categorized into those with spangle and those without.
